No, we shouldn’t. It doesn’t have any impact on the UI but it may be a futuristic concern. We could potentially see our app crashing if these kinds of exception keep creeping. As we have mentioned about App Crash in the last sentence, this leads the QA to have access to crashlytics of the project.

When Zillow, a real-estate listing company, built an app, for example, it not only included its standard real-estate listings, but also allowed users to scope out rentals and homes for sale in their immediate geographic area. This feature tapped into casual consumers’ desires to learn, say, what their neighbor’s condo might be worth – or to take a self-guided real-estate tour. It took off, and now Zillow is selling mobile ads and incorporating social network link-posting – in other words, running a quite profitable app.

Native apps, the most common form, are applications built to run on a specific mobile device’s hardware, sometimes with and sometimes without a data connection—like the Kindle app, for example, or Angry Birds. Web apps, however, almost always require a data connection, are usually designed to run across all platforms using the same basic code, and are really not “apps” in the app-store sense but are simply, as the name suggests, web-based applications.  The difference between an ordinary website and a web app in this context, though, is that these apps range from mobile-friendly versions of websites to websites that are custom-built (usually with HTML5, JS, CSS), from the ground up, specifically for display and use on mobile devices. Finally, with regard to hybrid apps, these are essentially web apps packaged in a native-app wrapper—available in app stores and designed for use only on mobile devices, but also relying heavily on communication with a website or web-hosted database, such as via APIs, in order to function at all.  (One common example is the Wikipedia app, which requires an active connection to Wikipedia.org’s online database to deliver its Apache Lucene search results.)

Finally, an interesting comparison towards the bottom end of the revenue model scale is paid downloads (18%) versus free apps with in-app purchases (19%). There is very little difference between the two revenue models at this level of revenue. This is a very strong contrast with the total amount of revenue earned through each of those models. This probably reflects the fact that getting a freemium model with in-app purchases to work is difficult – there’s a very big risk of just giving a free app to a massive majority of users and getting no more paying users than for an equivalent paid app.
Many people are artists, tinkerers, and creators of some sort. People like that can use an online shop like Etsy to sell their various arts and crafts. Mobile app culture is notorious for skimping on QA before apps are placed into production. The thought among many mobile developers is that you can quickly patch anything that goes wrong, but this doesn’t do much to relieve frustrated users of apps that don’t work. Sometimes their managers are under the gun, too, because of tight deadlines — so testing is the first thing to go. What mobile app managers must do is to address this challenge by rewarding developers and testers for quality (e.g., measure each app for the number of reported bugs and fixes) as well as quantity and speed.
Presence of the Snapchat or Facebook Messenger in the top rating is not a surprise: both messaging services are popular and viral by nature. Many have speculated about Snapchat revenue sources, and this chart only confirms that it is definitely not coming from the in-app purchases.
