2. How They Make Money: “From a consumer’s standpoint, it’s important to understand what the monetization model is for the company that makes these apps,” added Kowsik Guruswamy, chief technology officer at Menlo Security. “That alone can be very revealing in how the companies plan to use their data.” For example, an app might make money through sponsorships with the brands it partners with or it might offer customers paid upgrades. However, it’s also likely it makes money selling your data to advertisers or other third parties, which is why it’s important to note what kind of data it tracks and how it uses it.

Hey Carter. I have an idea for an app but the target market will be limited to my country. It will require some funding and a good bit of ground work (gathering of info etc). I will need to get an investor, but I’m not sure how the app will make its money back. I really want to make every aspect of it free in order to get the downloads, but from what u said it looks like I’ll need a truck load of downloads to see a bit of money via ads. Alternatively I was thinking of doing a “first year is free” type of thing. Anyway, let’s say I achieve 50k downloads, what sort of revenue could I make with ads? Thank you in advance. Darryn
Now, when a user would click on the Camera option it never opened till the permission for storage is set to YES. The scenario was ignored as Android Marshmallow had this functionality that if storage permission is set to NO, the camera cannot be used for that app.

If you have an app on a store, you’re going to get feedback from users. Often, this will be unnecessarily harsh feedback. But don’t be disheartened, as this is the natural course of any online feedback mechanism. Read them, and respond to those who have had problems running your app. Fix problems as you see them. Fight fires as they pop up – it’s not going to be fun.
Watch & Earn is a money making app that was for sale in late 2016 for $1 Million. That says a lot about this app. The problem with a get paid to app that is for sale is that it might change owners and become a poor paying app or current developers will abandon it.

Mobile Technology is transforming the way people use their cell phones. Although demand is highest for consumer apps, enterprise applications are evolving too, allowing businesses to work more productively. Right from Publishers, Retailers, Automobile Dealers, Financial Service Providers, Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare Providers, the mobile application usage trend has now extended to schools and Universities providing faster interaction between staff and students.
In a weird way, mobile application testing is binary. You know very well that there’s no middle ground. We either win or lose, and there’s no going back. The growing use of smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices has accelerated mobile applications and mobile application testing indefinitely.
There is a very wide variety of mobile devices from apple to Samsung to android and to Symbian and so on. Considering this wide range of mobile devices it is very hard for the testing team to arrange all sorts of mobile devices while working under considerable amount of budget and timeline related constraints.
Native apps, the most common form, are applications built to run on a specific mobile device’s hardware, sometimes with and sometimes without a data connection—like the Kindle app, for example, or Angry Birds. Web apps, however, almost always require a data connection, are usually designed to run across all platforms using the same basic code, and are really not “apps” in the app-store sense but are simply, as the name suggests, web-based applications.  The difference between an ordinary website and a web app in this context, though, is that these apps range from mobile-friendly versions of websites to websites that are custom-built (usually with HTML5, JS, CSS), from the ground up, specifically for display and use on mobile devices. Finally, with regard to hybrid apps, these essentially web apps packaged in a native-app wrapper—available in app stores and designed for use only on mobile devices, but also relying heavily on communication with a website or web-hosted database, such as via APIs, in order to function at all.  (One common example is the Wikipedia app, which requires an active connection to Wikipedia.org’s online database to deliver its Apache Lucene search results.)

  1. You may also benefit from a Starter Project. Don’t jump into your first project head first and guns blazing. You’ll most likely get your ass kicked. But there are tons of sites including Bluecloud, that offer source codes and app templates. These templates save a lot of money, and they usually come with something a little bit extra – for example, a lot of our codes have instructions, image templates, ad libraries, video walkthroughs… The amount you’ll learn from a cheap and easy starter project, will save you tons of time and thousands of dollars later on. Also start reaching out to developers. Get a feel of communication, questions, and what developers are asking of you.
