While this app doesn’t give you cold, hard cash, it does reward you with Google Play credits, which you can redeem for Android apps, Google Music, Books, Magazines, or Movies in the Play Store. The catch here is that you have to give your personal opinions (either real or fake, you can decide how truthful you want to be) over to Google, which then gives them to marketers and companies looking to gather consumer views.
As far as video game testing goes, the Game Developer Magazine salary survey reveals that higher education doesn’t mean better pay. Those with only a high school diploma or GED made the most, averaging $52,500 per year. Those with some college or an associate degree averaged between $49,000 and $50,000 per year. Testers who held a bachelor’s degree reported the lowest average earnings, just under $43,000 per year.
To have a career as a beta tester, mainly you have to look in the gaming industry where you work as a video game tester for companies that design and develop games. But that’s not for everyone. You have to actually know gaming and have some insider knowledge of how it all works.
As Eran states, manual checks are a necessary part of mobile application testing, because there are conditions that aren’t able to be reproduced or scripted with emulators. Further, automated testing leaves out chance and human error conditions that can create pivotal ah-ha moments for an application. There’s no winner in manual versus automated testing for mobile applications. They’re both required.

Remarkable revenue figures of the $4,6 billion-dollar company Pandora stand out. Also I am not surprised to see that a new game from the masters of in-app monetization Outfit 7, the maker of the famous Talking Tom, is earning $12’500 per day.
Now you’re probably not going to come across anything like that, but you can still turn a quick profit with a bit of searching. The trick is to find available domain names which have some commercial value, snap them up and then list them for sale on a site like Sedo.com.
Ibotta is a couponing app, but instead of getting a discount on your purchases, you get cash-back rebates. You check the app for offers — $1 cash back on a pizza brand, for example — and then either scan your receipt or link the app to your store loyalty cards so your savings are automatic. Ibotta accepts receipts only from participating stores and retailers, but most of the big players are listed: Whole Foods, Walmart, Ralph’s, Kroger, HEB. Some offers will apply to only one retailer; others might be valid at several.
Of course, you have to link your credit or debit card to earn points with your spending, so if you’re worried about your privacy with this app, keep that in mind. With so many data breaches lately, you might be apprehensive to connect your card to the app. While it does collect data about your transactions (which is necessary to automatically earn “kicks”), it doesn’t store your actual credit card information. “If a user has a linked credit or debit card associated with his or her Shopkick account, that information solely and securely remains with Visa or Mastercard,” said Bill Demas, the app’s chief executive officer. Read the privacy policy here. Shopkick is U.S. only.
Hi Andrea, I’ve tried Enroll and UserTesting. Enroll’s tests are very short (usually one to two questions), and they generally pay 10¢ to 25¢ per test. I found the majority of these testing websites via Google and then searched on the Ripoff Report, Glassdoor, and the Better Business Bureau websites for negative reviews. While I didn’t find any negative reviews on Analysia, you’re correct; there are a lot of typos and grammatical errors, which may be a sign of a potential scam. For this reason, I’ve decided to remove them from the list. Thanks for stopping by TWAHW!

Smartphone applications have the power to make our lives easier and often more enjoyable. Many also facilitate you earning money directly through your smartphone. Here are five free apps that can lend a hand to your bank account:
Stats like these drive home the growing significance of the mobile market—especially the last two figures, which suggest that the monthly consumer demand is currently exceeding the entire annual supply of apps produced. You don’t need to be an economist to see the enormous market potential here.  And if you or your organization are among those arriving fashionably late to the mobile party, perhaps due to the common impression that most smartphone, tablet, or phablet apps are for social networking and gaming, be advised: a 55% majority of mobile app developers in our survey were working on applications for Business Productivity, Utility, and Finance. The rest of them were attending to the other usual suspect categories—Social Networking, Games, Lifestyle, Navigation & Travel, and Entertainment—and yet not one of these genres claimed, in itself, more than 6% of the developers polled. So it clearly isn’t all just fun and games, but no matter what your personal or corporate focus may be, there is probably sufficient demand out to justify creating an app for that.
The receipt is signed with a standard XML digital signature that you can validate to make sure it came from the Windows Store. The ID of each receipt element is unique per user and per device that acquires the app.
The note at the top of their website is a promo for their sister-site, SideIncomeJobs.com. I’ve never used SideIncomeJobs.com, but it looks like they are competing with FlexJobs which is a paid membership site that hand-screens all telecommuting positions before adding them to their website. These sites are offering a service of screening work-at-home opportunities, so you don’t have to do it yourself — it saves you time and ensures that you’re not dealing with a scam.

What’s even more compelling than the sponsor’s money is their marketing horsepower. They most likely have a website with good traffic, email newsletters, and social media. If they sponsor your app, chances are they’ll be happy to promote it for you. That’s great value.
