Step #2. Manual and Automated testing: The methodology followed for this project is Agile with the iteration of two weeks. Every two weeks dev. team releases a new build for testing team and testing team will run their test cases in QA environment. Automation team creates scripts for the set of basic functionality and runs the scripts that help determine if the new build is stable enough to test. The Manual testing team will test the new functionality.

This a really cool informative article, thanks a lot! I would like to add just 1 important point… you have to also consider what devices you should test on. Different devices are popular in different markets.
Fancy a change from the same old shop-based research tasks? Then have a gander at Task 360, an iPhone-only app from the people who brought you Field Agent above. You can download it from the App Store.

I have a major idea for an app which I know will be very successful and influential and won’t be hard to gain downloads. I have found someone who could build it…but I’m just curious is there any people or business that will invest in it and how do I find them?
One hallmark of application quality is following up with users and soliciting user feedback after an app is placed in production. You can continuously learn from this feedback—both to improve the existing app and to design new apps so you don’t repeat mistakes. You can also improve the portions of your automated test scripts that are automated so they can account for elements of the human experience that a developer or an IT QA person might not think of. What you don’t want to do is to just check off a mobile app as complete and never think about it any more.
Many people are artists, tinkerers, and creators of some sort. People like that can use an online shop like Etsy to sell their various arts and crafts. You can find a variety of stuff there and virtually all of it is handmade, limited edition, or one of a kind. Shop owners can sell whatever they want really. The app itself is called Sell on Etsy. It lets you manage your shop, your orders, and your listings. You can also chat with potential and do other stuff. This is a great way for the artistically inclined to make a few bucks. The app will help them do that.
You may also benefit from a Starter Project. Don’t jump into your first project head first and guns blazing. You’ll most likely get your ass kicked. But there are tons of sites including Bluecloud, that offer source codes and app templates. These templates save a lot of money, and they usually come with something a little bit extra – for example, a lot of our codes have instructions, image templates, ad libraries, video walkthroughs… The amount you’ll learn from a cheap and easy starter project, will save you tons of time and thousands of dollars later on. Also start reaching out to developers. Get a feel of communication, questions, and what developers are asking of you.
6. Usability testing: Usability testing is carried out to verify if the application is achieving its goals and getting a favorable response from users. This is important as the usability of an application is its key to commercial success (it is nothing but user friendliness).[9] Another important part of usability testing is to make sure that the user experience is uniform across all devices.[10] This section of testing hopes to address the key challenges of the variety of mobile devices and the diversity in mobile platforms/OS, which is also called device fragmentation. One key portion of this type of usability testing is to be sure that there are no major errors in the functionality, placement, or sizing of the user interface on different devices.,[11]
An example application testing project: ILL (International Learn Lab) is an application designed to help admin, publisher to create websites in collaboration. Using a web browser, instructors choose from a set of features to create a class that meets their requirements.
Really nice post. Using apps are a great way to earn money, I personally use them. If you get so many apps, you can make a lot of money. I love Qmee but I didn’t know that they had an app. Thanks fore the post. I found many apps I have never seen before. Thanks!
#3) As we have the market flooded with Android devices, the code must be written in such a way in which the performance remains steady. So, it is quite probable that your app may behave slowly on lower-end devices.

This is the ideal new way to sell and promote your services to customers.
One part that really resonated with me was your description of usability testing. Qualitative analytics can help ensure your users are having a satisfactory experience. It adds an additional visual layer to your data and allows you to watch user session recordings and view touch heatmaps. You can see how users are interacting with your app. A tool that can help with this is Appsee.
Mobile app culture is notorious for skimping on QA before apps are placed into production. The thought among many mobile developers is that you can quickly patch anything that goes wrong, but this doesn’t do much to relieve frustrated users of apps that don’t work. Sometimes their managers are under the gun, too, because of tight deadlines — so testing is the first thing to go. What mobile app managers must do is to address this challenge by rewarding developers and testers for quality (e.g., measure each app for the number of reported bugs and fixes) as well as quantity and speed.
At the top of the revenue model tree is per device royalties or licensing fees. This is likely to be a mixture of enterprise apps and successful apps that have managed to get pre-installs on devices. This is a highly desirable revenue source but certainly not available to all apps. The next best is contract work at 30% of developers earning more than $5k per app per month. Contracting gives a decent chance of making higher revenues but of course the app belongs to whoever it is built for, so the upside is also very limited. At the same time this is by far the lowest risk model, with twice the chance of making more than $5k per app per month than the worst model, advertising. Subscriptions and e-commerce are tied for third place at 29% and affiliate and CPI programs are not far behind at 28%. These models are often harder to implement but our data suggests that the effort is likely to be worth it if they can fit the app concept.
Android stats reporting has changed dramatically over time, but as of now it says the active install count peaked at 16 million about a year ago, and is dropping, at about 12 million now. It’s an aging app slowly being replaced by things like the built-in Android barcode API.

I see it as a smart way to sell advertising, you see instead of putting adverts on your sidebar, you have a directory on your blog where you link to different company’s and websites in your industry and charge a premium for the listing. If you charged a monthly fee, so for example, say you had 1000 people listed in your directory and charged $7 a month, you would earn $7000 a month in continuity.

The mobile market has grown substantially over the years and industry experts predict continued growth. Mobile internet usage surpassed desktop way back in 2014, and 80% of internet users now own smartphones. With such impressive numbers, it’s no wonder that Fortune 500 companies and entrepreneurs alike are trying to get a piece of this modern-day gold rush.
Earn money by telling us your opinion about software. The payments are proportional to the complexity of the task. For a regular usability test you would earn around 20 Euros or 15 Pounds for example. There’s usually a fixed amount for your test report and additional payment for every Bug (defect) you find. If you find serious technical Bugs, you’ll earn even more!

We would recommend signing up for ad exchanges. These let you integrate with several ad networks at the same time, which should mean that you have more ads on your app, and at the highest possible rates.
In a market where everyone wants in on the action, as an app creator, you have two big hurdles. The first is creating an app worthy of a favorable review upon submission to the Apple iTunes App Store. The second is promoting your app so that it breaks through the pack and sells well.

For frugal ios users, the Appshopper really is great. You can create a wish list and it will email you when the apps go on sale. Havent found something similar for Android but wish they did it too. Even though I dont have an iphone (I have a Mac and an Android) , Ive used this to download paid ios apps in case I get an iphone in the future (which is possible but for now, I save tons of money using a Google Nexus phone with a GSM prepaid plan for $45 – less than half of what Id pay for a contract iPhone plan)
