I am seeking information on Regression Testing of mobile applications. Initially when the application is built – it was tested by a Team which is currently not exisiting . Now with the Ios upgrades and the android upgrade- i want to know how should i plan to do Regression Testing for the applications(Hybrid).
Device emulators are also very cost-effective. Mobile device emulators are very useful for basic application functionality testing and during feature development. They provide excellent options for network bypass, a pseudo-live environment, and test scripting languages.
The developers at Collecting Smiles are the creators of the great painting app Colors. They are interesting in selling this app to users at a particular price, but want to make sure that ALL users have the ability to see the great functionality of the app and be enticed to make a purchase. They have decided to offer a fully functional, time limited trial of their app to enable users to get started. On the Windows Phone, we have seen apps with trials bring up to 5 times the revenue of apps without trials.
UserTesting has testers provide feedback on apps and websites by speaking thoughts out loud as they complete tasks. Each test takes about 20 minutes and pays a flat $10. You must be at least 18 years old and speak English fluently. You can also take mobile tests on your mobile device. Pays via PayPal 7 days after completing an accepted test.

2. Diversity in Mobile Platforms/OSes: There are different mobile operating systems in the market. The major ones are Android, iOS, Symbian, Windows Phone, and BlackBerry (RIM). Each operating system has its own limitations. Testing a single application across multiple devices running on the same platform and every platform poses a unique challenge for testers.
This is why mastering the art of mobile testing is increasingly important for any company that wants to remain competitive.  Far too many developers, it seems, are content to just throw their latest rushed apps at the App Store wall and see what sticks.  The approach is certainly understandable.  Software testing can be hard work.  To remain competitive in a fast-paced and crowded market, sometimes cutting corners makes sense.  But choosing speed and quantity over care and quality has never been a good long-term business strategy, and the app-store halls of Apple, Google, Amazon, Windows, BlackBerry, et al., are littered with thousands of one-star reviews that tell a tragic tale.
Among other popular and effective in-app advertising app monetization tools that work best for free apps are Amazon’s ad system (that still pays per impression), an automation tool with predictive analytics Tapjoy, Appsfire that tries to choose ads that blend best with the apps design, StartApp (that prioritizes ads and increases click-through rates), etc.
Can you recommend what technologies eg. ASP.NET, PHP .NET should be used to accommodate these security issues as well as what languages would be best used for the client and server side to make the app as lightweight, scalable, expandable and secure as possible?
While developing your app, you will want to be able to test the various commerce states such as ensuring that the “Purchase Full Version” button in your app is displayed properly when a user is running the trial version of your app. The CurrentAppSimulator object gives you access to all of the functionality that the Store provides via the CurrentApp object with a couple of very important development tools: the ability to simulate any response the Store service could provide (e.g., network unavailable, user cancelled) and an ability to “set” the current users state through a configuration XML file.
If you own a smartphone, then you could actually start making money by downloading free apps that make you money. Last year we helped our readers make extra money by highlighting the Top 5 money making apps for 2015. In this post we have highlighted the top 16 money making apps for 2016. The great thing about GrabPoints is that I can usually earn $5 rather quickly as a new user. Earn cash downloading apps, watching videos and taking short polls and surveys. GrabPoints gives you a $1 registration bonus.
Commercial use requires ‘releases’ (editorial use doesn’t). Stock photos can be sold for commercial or editorial use. You’ll have more opportunities to make cash if your photos are available for both, but photos containing people or property need signed releases to be sold commercially.
The drag-and-drop widget editor is how you actually build what your app will look like from screen to screen. To test these apps from an average business user’s perspective, I built a basic scheduling app. The goal was to build an app that could add a new event with fields for event name, date and time, and, duration, and the ability to invite users to events and sort the events list in a calendar or chronological view. Any additional features or customization on top of that was a bonus.
Once you sign up, the app pays you in “kicks” for walking into certain stores (including Target, Walmart, TJ Maxx and more). These kicks can then be redeemed for gift cards to Target, Walmart, Starbucks, Sephora, Best Buy and more.
Just as there are myriad mobile devices available, there are also many different ways people can test mobile. These include device labs, emulators, cloud-based labs, and cloud-based emulators. Whether the developer is accessing thousands of devices and run automated tests across multiple platforms via the cloud or utilizing an emulator to duplicate the mobile device experience (hardware and software), the idea remains the same — find bugs and find them fast.
I have been in this field for around 6 years now and I’m very well aware that the tasks get monotonous at times but there are many other things that we can do on our own to make those monotonous tasks somewhat interesting.
Update Feb 2016: Originally when I wrote this answer, we had just launched our Android app and so couldn’t fully answer.  Since my answer has been getting a fair number of views, I wanted to give a quick update.  Our Android app now has about 250,000 monthly active users.  We are using Facebook’s Audience Network native ads now.  We are bringing in roughly $4-5,000 a month from them.

  1. 13. Black box Testing: This type of testing doesn’t include the internally coding logic of the application. Tester tests the application with functionality without peering with internally structure of the application. This method of test can be applied virtually to every level of software testing: unit, integration, system and acceptance.
Real Testing Device:  Testing on real device allows you to run your mobile applications and checks its functionality. Real device Testing assures you that your application will work smoothly in customer handsets.
